Okay, just re-watched the bit where Chelsea dumps Charlie in season 7 of Two and a Half Men and I am annoyed at why she chose to dump him. And here’s why..
She was with him for about 2 years, was engaged to him and they had had their fair share of arguments so it’s safe to say that she knew what kind of guy he was. She had met loads of people throughout this time and it took one person for her to realise he wasn’t the person she wanted..
He shouldn’t have to change for a person (after what Mia tried to do) and it looked like Chelsea didn’t want that, and loved Charlie for who he was. He still had to be a better person for the relationship though, and he did so much! He took dance lessons, deleted videos of her, went on outings frequently, agreed for a wedding earlier than he wanted, he met her family, looked after her while she was ill, said he loved her first and meant it, learnt all about her past, etc..
These may not be the most amazing things, but for Charlie Harper they were genuine acts of love. He was like that for the entire time she knew him and then all of a sudden he was no good for her.
This annoyed me because i’ve seen them all loads and I know he ends up with Rose because she does truly love him for who he is…but he doesn’t love her…the basis on why they got together and (ran off) was all a lie, she was being her normal self and tricked him into wanting her because she was ‘married’ to another guy.. he was tricked, and that’s annoying.
This just all annoyed me.
Obviously they wrote it this way because Charlie Sheen was leaving, but I would have preferred so much if they gave him the happy ending I think he deserved and then just ended the show at season 8.
I haven’t watched anything with Ashton Kutcher in because of that reason. I haven’t seen it therefore I can’t judge, but the plot of Charlie dying the way he does, Alan STILL living there and becoming friends with a stranger in order to do so and him STILL not moved out when c’mon he can, is why I don’t want to watch it.
